I urge all of you today to visit Angela's blog, called Mary Grace Holmes, named after her daughter who was born asleep at 21 weeks. I promise you that the photos will stay with you for a very, very long time. They will fill your heart and place in you a reality of what true, pure love is. What a remarkable family Angela and her husband have made.
I am also asking all of you to pray for Angela and her family. Leave a comment for her and let her know that you are doing this.
God bless.
HOW GRACE DRIZZLES IN... on raising boys, homeschooling, and loving my non-Catholic husband
This blog's mission is simple--to encourage moms who are married to non-Catholics and raising their children in the Faith. If you know a mom who needs a little encouragement in continuing her efforts, I would be delighted if you would share Kathleen's Catholic with her. Thank you!

So sad a story....you can't help but cry for a couple with so much love to give, only to have tragedy strike so many times. We truly are fortunate for what we have.
ReplyDeleteWhat is so precious is to see how they love each other so much, and they see God's bounty and blessings in everything, even their tragedy. Their example lifts the rest of us!!
ReplyDeleteHere's what a friend of mine, Mary W., said about Little Mary Grace:
ReplyDelete"Kathleen, please forward that I was very touched by Angela's writings and prayers. Her closeness with Jesus is obviously her most treasured gift. The story of Mary Grace (as well as her miscarrages) resonated deep within me, and my heart broke open little. I lost my first child to miscarriage and I mourned for a long time. Yet that was small compared to the loss of Mary Grace. I am so impressed by the depth of their sorrow, the wonder of their joy, and the healing of Jesus."
Dear Angela,
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have not had to live through the heartbreak of a miscarriage, I have had several friends who have shared your story...I know that it must be like having a piece of your own heart die. Your love & courage are a true reflection of God's way in a world where "love & courage" are so distorted. Know that you now have a little angel watching over you from above, and that someday you will all rejoice together in Heaven!! Little Mary Grace will run to your arms and say "thank you so much for loving me like you did!". My prayers are with you all!

ReplyDeleteKathleen, thank you so much for sharing my daughter's story on your blog. I was so touched by the beautiful comments from your readers...in fact I was truly just overwhelmed with gratitude! Thank you all so very much for thinking of us and for all of your prayers. Our family is so very blessed to have so many friends (even those we've never met!) praying for us!

Angela,
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful family and you inspire us with your abiding faith and love. May you be blessed by Our Lord, Jesus Christ, and may your little angel in Heaven know how much she has inspired us, too!
